Code Geass: Lancelot & Guren spinoff manga launches

The return of Code Geass is a fact and Kadokawa's Comic Newtype magazine official website published the prologue chapter of the new spinoff manga entitled Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch Gaiden - Shiro no Kishi, Kurenai no Yasha Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion - Lancelot & Guren. The first chapter will be released on December 22.

The manga centers on stories about both Suzaku and Kallen that were not portrayed in the original story. Moreover, the franchise is also getting another spinoff titled Code Geass Danshō - Mosaic no Kakera (Code Geass Story Fragment - Piece of the Mosaic), which will focus on six different protagonists whose lives are affected and changed by the events of the main story.

The first of the three films of the Code Geass trilogy is called Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch - Kōdō (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Awakening Path) and opened on October 21 in Japan. The second film is titled Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch - Handō (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Rebellion Path) and will be released in February 2018, while the third film is titled Code Geass - Hangyaku no Lelouch - Ōdō Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion - The Imperial Path) and will open in May 2018 in Japan.

The Code Geass series will receive a sequel project entitled Code Geass: Fukkatsu no Lelouch (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection). Its format has not yet been revealed.
