SCANDAL’s new album comes on February 14
A few months ago, SCANDAL had prepared the way for the release of a new album. It is now known that the title of the band’s 8th album is HONEY and the release date is set for February 14. In addition, details about the tracklist and the European and UK versions of the album were revealed.
The album's track list counts 10 titles, including the previous singles of SCANDAL, Take Me Out, Koisuru Universe, as well as Futari, a b-side from the latter. The European edition of HONEY will be released by JPU Records on March 2 and will include an exclusive additional booklet featuring English lyric translations and transliterations. The album will be available digitally on Amazon and iTunes, while the opening track Platform Syndrome will be released alongside the Japanese version on February 14th. HONEY is already available for pre-order.
The album will be released in three editions (regular, limited and press limited). The latter includes a T-shirt designed in collaboration with pop duo AMIAYA. The limited edition will be accompanied by a DVD featuring the 11th anniversary of the band, in which SCANDAL made history by being the first Japanese band to feature in the popular VH1 series, Storytellers.
A limited version will also be available for Europe, which is strictly limited to 200 units, including a t-shirt (available in XS-XXL sizes for the first time) and a guitar plectrum for the first 100 orders. This version is available directly from the JPU Records website.
To celebrate the release of the album, the girls will have a free concert at Zepp DiverCity on the same day of the release of HONEY. The only prerequisite is for fans to apply at e-plus and bring a copy of the album with them.
