D.Gray-Man manga returns after one issue hiatus
February issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine announced that Katsura Hoshino's D.Gray-man manga is going to resume in the winter 2017 issue of Jump Square Crown. The manga went on hiatus in the previous October’s autumn issue, however, it will return on January 20 with the release of the winter issue.
Hoshino launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 2004, but it went on hiatus several times due to the author's health. In 2009, it returned in Jump Square magazine and after a short hiatus, it resumed in Jump Square Crown quarterly magazine, which debuted in July 2015. D.Gray-Man has more than 22.5 million copies in print.
The first 103-episode TV anime series premiered in 2006 and was completed in 2008. The manga also inspired a new 13-episode TV anime titled D.Gray-man Hallow, which was released last July.
