This year's 21st issue of Hakusensha’s Hana to Yume announced that Kamisama Kiss will get a new OAD (original anime DVD), which will be the final episode of the series. The anime will be entitled Kamisama, Shiawase ni Naru (The God Will Be Happy).

Spoilers follow!: «The story takes place one year after the promise with Ōkuninushi. Nanami is preparing to graduate from school and her duties at Mikage shrine are coming to an end. Tomoe is becoming human and is ready to marry Nanami and start a family.»

The DVD will include an official fanbook "Kamisama Hajimemashita 25.5", which will contain a 32-page epilogue manga titled "Sono Ato no Futari" (The Couple After That). It will also include full-color illustrations, summaries of volumes 14-25, and an interview with Suzuki.

Suzuki launched the manga in 2008 in Hana to Yume and it was completed on May 20, 2016. The story inspired an anime series with two seasons, while a 4 episode OVA series was released, adapting the "Kako-hen" arc.
