Bleach gets live-action movie in 2018
On Monday 22/8/2016, Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump's 38th issue will reveal that Bleach is going to get a live-action movie, which will premiere in 2018 in Japan. Fukushi Souta will be starring as Kurosaki Ichigo, while Shinsuke Sato is going to direct the film.
We believe that this is the important announcement that the mangaka Tite Kubo refered to on chapter 685 that was included in the 36th-37th combined issue.
Tite Kubo launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001. Bleach entered its final arc in February 2012 and the final chapter will be published in the 38th issue on Monday. It inspired a 366-episodes anime series from 2004 to 2012, four anime films, a series of novels and some video games.
