Berserk manga may returned in June after a hiatus of several months, however, as announced by this year's 19th issue of Hakusensha’ s Young Animal magazine, it goes on hiatus for one more time. This time, the break will last until early 2017. The previous hiatus of the manga began in December 2015 and ended on June 24, 2016.

Kentarou Miura launched Berserk in 1989, while the first TV anime series aired in 1997. An anime film trilogy followed from 2012 until 2013 and the newest anime series premiered on July 1. In the spring 2017, it returns with the second season.
