The sixth television Yu-Gi-Oh! anime titled Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS will premiere on May 10 in Japan, as revealed in the 21st and 22nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The series will air on TV Tokyo.

Mashyiro Hosoda is the director of the anime, while Shin Yoshida and Ken'ichi Hara return from the previous Yu-Gi-Oh! anime for the composition of the series and the design of the characters respectively. Shinkichi Mitsumune is composing the music and Hiroaki "Tommy" Tominaga will perform the theme song of the series, entitled "With the Wind". The production will take place at GALLOP.

Shōya Ishige will play the protagonist Yūsaku Fujiki.
