Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma anime returns to our screens with a third season, as announced in this year's 30th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. The new season will be entitled Shokugeki no Sōma: San no Sara and will premiere this fall. The story focuses on the battle against the Council of Ten.

In addition, the new visual of third season was revealed, featuring Sōma Yukihira, Erina Nakiri, Erina's father Azami Nakiri, and the first two of the Council of Ten, Eishi Tsukasa and Rindō Kobayashi. 

The cast returns to their original roles with:

Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Sōma Yukihira

Akira Ishida as Eishi Tsukasa

Shizuka Itou as Rindō Kobayashi

Rie Kugimiya as Momo Akanegakubo

Kana Hanazawa as Nene Kinokuni

Yuuki Kaji as Terunori Kuga

Tsukuda and Saeki's manga has inspired two more anime television seasons, the first of which was released in May 2015 with 12 episodes. The second season entitled Food Wars! The Second Plate premiered in July 2016 and was completed with 13 episodes.
