The end of Girugamesh
After 12 years of career, the metal band Girugamesh announced their sudden disbandment. On July 10, they will hold their last live at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo and after that, the four members’ paths will part forever.
Specifically, through the social media they stated:
“Girugamesh started from zero with hometown friends. We’ve dedicated everything and done everything we could for the band for this long period of 12 years. This is our honest feelings. We had many encounters. Friends, staffs and fans. Because of your support and encouragement, we could walk for 12 years. We will express our gratitude with our best performance at our final show!!”
The announcement accompanied a photo collage of the 12 years they were together, which was also used to promote their last tour in Europe and their final show at Zepp DiverCity. Nevertheless, according to the statements made, Girugamesh is preparing new songs that they will reveal in the final live.
Their disbandment was unexpected news, since the mini album titled Chimera was released on January 20, followed by the announcement of the tour at both national and European level.
