Attack on Titan’s 2nd season to air in spring 2017
After a long delay, it was officially announced that the highly anticipated second season of Attack on Titan will premiere in spring 2017. The news spread from the Shingeki Matsuri (Attack on Titan: Junior High) event that was held on Sunday at Anime Expo. The event also revealed the new visual of the series, the staff and the cast for the new season. The official website of the anime has been updated, providing all the necessary information to fans.

Regarding the staff that will take over the second season, the director of the series has changed, while the general manager is now Tetsurou Araki. Moreover, Masashi Koizuka is the director of the production, who was the assistant director of the previous season. The other staff members will remain the same.
The first 25-episode season aired in April 2014, while the second season, which was announced in November 2014, was originally scheduled for 2016. Hajime Isayama launched the manga in 2009, in Kodansha’s Shonen Bessatsu Magazine.
