Psychic Detective Yakumo manga ends
Psychic Detective Yakumo manga came to an end with Kadokawa's Monthly Asuka magazine publishing the last chapter in the August issue, which was released last Friday. We should note that the manga has been on a temporary hiatus since April 2015 due to maternity leave of the mangaka, Suzuka Oda.
The manga was launched in Monthly Asuka in 2009 and it is based on the homonymous novel of the writer, Manabu Kaminaga. A live-action television series that aired in 2006 in Japan was based on the story as well as another manga series by Ritsu Miyako published in Hakusensha’s Bessatsu Hana to Yume for one year. In 2010, an adaptation into an anime series was made.
The story follows Yakumo, a young man who can see the spirits of the dead with his red eye. Thanks to this ability, he solves murder cases with the help of fellow student, Haruka.
The issue also included a color page of the manga.
