X Made Alcoholic SantaClaus are in Europe for their European tour. Somewhere between their lives, we took a little of their time to learn some more things about them. It's the first time that XMAS, as they're also called in short, talk to Greek Otaku Radio! 

 

 

Hello guys, and welcome to G.O. Radio! It's nice to meet you all. Could you please introduce yourselves for our listeners?

We are X Made Alcoholic SantaClaus from Yokohama, Japan.

I am Charlie and I play the guitar. I am Masaya and i also play the guitar. I am Kei and i am the vocalist and also play bass. I am Yuta and i play the drums. 

 

If we're not mistaken, this is the first time you've talked to the Greek audience. How do you feel about this?

We are really surprised and very happy for the chance, thank you so much.

 

Your band's name is quite unique. How did you come up with it?

First of all of we love Christmas season and also we love alcohol.. (Laughs)

But if you take all letters one by one, the meaning goes like this:

X is symbol for Mathematics that many people use.

Made is for the word made or make..

Alcoholic is for alcohol of course because we love it!

SantaClause is Santa Clause (more laughs)

 

How would you describe your music?

We are very heavy Rock-and-roll band.

 

What is your main source of inspiration?

The truth is that each of us has different influence in music and style for example:

Charlie likes bands as GNR – KISS- Aerosmith, Backyard Babies and BBKing

Yuta really likes Deftones, Tool and Perfect circle.

Kei likes Korn and Limp Bizkit

Masaya likes Nirvana, Range Against the Machine and Incubus.

So there’s a lot of different influence in music for each that inspire us and depending on our mood and time, we write music when we have something to say.

 

How long have you been playing music for?

All of us started at a really young age to play music (from school), so we' ve been playing for many years now.

 

What's your most memorable moment as musicians?

The first European tour, because it was arranged by our friend Shota Yokoyama and he was with us during it.

 

Do you like anime? If so, what's your favourite anime show?

Yes we do!!

Charlie: I like Gundam

Yuta: Hunter X Hunter

Kei: Elfen Lied and Monogatari Series

Masaya: Slam Dunk and Great Teacher Onizuka

 

We know that you're currently preparing for your new album release, "ESPÈCE À ŁAVENTURE". Please tell us a few things about it.

Yes it’s our second album. The release day is on December 2, 2016 and we are really glad for it.

This album was first thought to be based on the “Jack and magic bean tree “ story, so like Jack that goes up the magic tree, also the album has 8 songs until the “top”, the final song titled “Over the time”.

Each song is a different story so please listen to them carefully.

 

What are your future plans?

We just finished this album and for now we focus on its promotion. After this tour of Europe we plan to do some shows in Japan, too. During all this, we also write new music when we have the inspiration.

 

What would you like to say to your fans?

This is a message to all European fans! During this tour, if you can make it please come to our live shows and show us your energy!
