SVGV releases self-directed official MV for new single “Who Am I”
SVGV has made a drastic change with their newest song entitled “Who Am I”. It’s their first production after they moved their base from Asia to Los Angeles. With TRIRION’s (Producer / DJ) newest production, it is a calmer, yet very emotional pop sound, adding his own mix of acoustic with some futuristic elements, not to mention RAMY’s (Vocal) delicate voice. “Who am I” shows their new direction and potentials for future Asian electro pop music.
Now, the music video for “Who am I” is released, directed by TRIRION himself with his own shooting and editing. He shows another side of his creative talent, not only for music, but also for filming. In this music video, TRIRION featured his longtime partner of projects, US based Dancer / Choreographer - Maki Saruwtari (worked for Major Lazor, Sean Paul, X-Japan).
TRIRION said: “Regarding the concept of the video, this is a story of “Looking for myself. RAMY and Maki are living in the City of Los Angeles. They might be facing the difficulties in life or chasing and struggling for their own dream or not even being sure what they exactly want in their life… I think those are common feeling for all the people living in this era and it all ends up with one simple question “Who Am I?”. I wanted to visualize that question.”
The video is a flurry of sights and cuts, displaying modern city life. RAMY’s emotional vocal and Maki’s dance gave the emotional depth to the video. Throughout the entire production, SVGV has really revealed the artistic vision of the group.
