The two star guitarists from LUNA SEA, SUGIZO and INORAN, are on tour with their collaboration project SUGIZO vs INORAN PRESENTS BEST BOUT 2017 〜L2/5〜. The final performance in Japan named "Japan Leg" was held with success on June 11 (Sun) at ZeppTokyo. Their “guitar battle show” started with the superstars coming out with their silhouettes projected onto a gauzy curtain and playing a somber guitar-violin duet.

The order was reversed from the Osaka performance. SUGIZO now appeared first on the stage to warm up the crowd, raising his pin and the right hand high, playing the first song "IRA". He performed a set largely composed of material from his latest album Oto that released at the end of last year. One of the night’s highlights was the song “Lux Aeterna”, when the stage was bathed in blue light and the sound of intense drumming overflowed the scene. This song abstractly expressed social situation and fury against politics. SUGIZO’s set ended with his fan favorite DO-FUNK DANCE and the applause continued long after the legendary guitarist left the stage.

After a short break, INORAN confidently jogged onto stage, yelling into the microphone and welcoming the crowd. INORAN’s style is far more straightforward classic rock, bringing a very different kind of energy. The echoing, passionate vocals had everybody jumping and after a few songs, SUGIZO made a guest appearance. Expanding his arms widely and exchanging hugs with INORAN, they played a song together. During his performance, he stated that this year marks their 20th anniversary of solo debut and to celebrate it, a two-disc self-cover album will be released on August 23, comprising a rock selection and an acoustic selection, with two brand new songs. INORAN’s set ended with the ballad “All We Are” and a dazzling smile, thanking the fans.

The "battle" that lasted about 3 hours ended. At the finale, SUGIZO and INORAN reappeared on stage, taking a commemorative photo and greeting the members and staff. All the members of the two bands gathered together and bowed, with the two superstars remaining last, deeply thanking.
