According to an announcement by Atlus, the television anime special Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers- will premiere on September 3 and it will recount the prologue story of the young thief organization at the center of the game. Moreover, Hisato Murasaki’s Persona 5 manga is expected to be released on September 15 on Shogakukan's Manga One app, while on 22 September will be published on the Ura Sunday website.

In addition, the game's new opening animation was released and a series of Cooperation videos, referred to each of the thief members. 

The PlayStation Store in Japan have begun pre-orders on Tuesday, and people who pre-order will receive a skill card set. In addition, the PlayStation Store is offering a Special Edition with additional DLC.

Persona 5 is the sixth in the series of role-playing game Persona and will be released on September 15 in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, while in the US is expected to ship in 2017.
