Everything about the Fullmetal Alchemist Live Action movie
Two months ago we learned for the first time that Hiromu Arakawa’s manga Fullmetal Alchemist is going to return into a live action film and this Tuesday, Warner Brothers Japan officially announced that the project is in the works and will be released in winter 2017. Filming is scheduled to begin in early June in Italy and will be completed in Japan in mid-August.
The movie will be directed by Fumihiko Sori, who has prioritized the part of digital technology in order to depict the original work as much as possible. Specifically he said: “I want to create a style that follows the original manga as much as possible. The cast is entirely Japanese, but the cultural background is Europe. However, it's a style that doesn't represent a specific race or country.”
As for the cast, it was confirmed that the leading role of Edward Elric will take on Ryosuke Yamada and the other roles are as follows:

Details about how Alphonse Elric will be presented in the film have not been revealed, but Sori remains optimistic that it will satisfy their fans.
