BOOM BOOM SATELLITES to disband
The 10th album of BOOM BOOM SATELLITES titled LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME seems to be their last, as announced on their official website on Tuesday. Unfortunate news, but not so unexpected since the health problem that troubles the guitarist Michiyuki Kawashima has deteriorate. Kawashima was diagnosed with a brain tumor that relapsed for the fourth time last August and as a result, they cancelled their concerts in Osaka and Tokyo last November. This deterioration caused partial paralysis leading to his withdrawal from the music industry to live in peace with his family.
Masayuki Nakano states that although it was unfortunate that the band wasn’t able to release their tenth album, their disbandment has left a feeling of fullness. The sale of LAY YOUR HANDS ON ME will begin on June 22 and will mark the end of this cooperation.
