All the members of DIR EN GREY are recently active in side projects, leaving the band in the background for the moment. Kyo with his band Sukekiyo, Die with the band project Decays, Toshiya with his clothing company DIRT, while Kaoru released an autobiographical book last year, hosting his own radio show from time to time.

It's time for drummer Shinya to take action on with his own solo project, called SERAPH. The news were revealed from the social media, revealing also a promotional image. However, it is still not known what kind of musical project will be, whether it is a new band or a showcase of Shinya’s skills on drums. What we do know, is that the songs written by this project will be featured in the upcoming movie Reigantantei-Karutetto.
