No Game No Life also known as Nogemu Noraifu is a light novel series developed from Madhouse studio and directed by Atsuko Ishizuka which made its debut on April 2014. The story follows the life of two siblings (brother and sister) who are trying to save another’s world mankind.
Sora and Shiro are step-siblings, who prefer to be isolated from the real world and its social life. However, they both inseparable as in the real world as well as into a virtual world. Their individual skills in the aggregate make them an ideal team. Sora possesses a highly developed intuition while Shiro possesses brilliant intellect, the level of which is out of the ordinary.
When they receive an invitation from Tet, Sora and Shiro found themselves in another reality where every conflict is solved through games. Tet is the God of Disboard (that’s the name of the world) who enjoys games and has never lost to anyone. So our siblings start their game to conquer this world and finally to challenge Tet himself.

So for the good part…

There is no official confirmation about a season 2.
Madhouse is known to get a season 2 for their series. In my opinion we won’t see it anytime soon, cause Madhouse has a lot of ongoing projects.
Madhouse announced that a movie adaptation of the light novel was revealed during the MF Bunko J Summer School Festival 2016. But the best news comes from Brazil, where a NewPop representative (NewPop is the company which has the rights to the anime in Latin America) when asked for the future of the manga, he replied “With the second season of the anime, the manga should keep going.”

My opinion

The statement from NewPop is legitimate. NewPop is a company which has the rights to a bunch of anime viewed in Latin America. With no official announcement from Madhouse though and in addition with the movie announcement, I don’t think we will see anything according Season 2 in 2017. I believe it will all come down to the sales from the movie and the ongoing projects of Madhouse.
