Great news for the Rurouni Kenshin fans.  Jump Square's November issue announced on Tuesday October 4^th that the mangaka Nobuhiro Watsuki and his wife Kaoru Kurosaki will make a new spinoff manga named "Rurouni Kenshin Ibun: Ashitaro Zenka Ari / Rurouni Kenshin Variant Story: The Criminal Ashitaro". It consists of two chapters, the first of which will be published by Jump Square in the December issue on November 4^th and it will include a center color page.

Nobuhiro Watsuki launched Rurouni Kenshin manga in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in 1994. It is about Himura Kenshin, a young man who used to be an assassin known as Hitokiri Battosai during the Meiji Restoration, who is trying to live a normal and peaceful life. The manga gave birth to a 95-episodes anime series, an anime film, three original video adapations (OVA), three live-action films and a stage musical. In Greece, we all knew the anime series as Samurai X and it was shown on Makedonia TV. We loved it for its funny moments and its epic battles.

Nobuhiro Watsuki also published a Rurouni Kenshin spinoff manga in 2014 titled "Hono wo Suberu - Rurouni Kenshin Uramaku / Controlling Flame - Rurouni Kenshin: Hidden Chapter" which centers around how Shishio Makoto and Yumi Komagata met.
