LUNA SEA is preparing a new album release on December 20th. Its title will be LUV and, as it suggests, the theme will be "love". LUV is the ninth album of the band, after A WILL, which was released in 2013. Details regarding the tracklist have not been revealed yet.

The album will be available in four editions: CD-only regular edition, limited edition that includes a DVD with the music videos of Limit and Hold You Down and making-of scenes, and two exclusive premium box editions for their fanclub SLAVE. The latter will include a second CD with live audio recordings from their May 29th show at Nippon Budokan, a live DVD or Blu-ray disc with footage of their fanclub-only concert held at Zepp Nagoya on September 24, 2016, a 100-page photobook, a B2 poster and a staff pass replica.

In addition, the band announced a tour called LUNA SEA LUV TOUR 2018, which will begin with two concerts in Mori-no-Hall 21 on 27 and 28 January and will end with two shows at Fukuoka Sun Palace on March 31 and April 1.
