After the broadcast of  Kotetsujou no Kabaneri's last episode, an announcement was made about two recap movies. The announcement was made via a "special ending movie" that was released on ノイタミナYouTubeチャンネル (Noitamina's Youtube Channel). While the illustrations of Ikoma and Mumei were shown during the ending, there was a special narration by these characters.

The first one will premiere on December 31^st 2016 and the second one on January 7^th 2017. Both of them will be shown on theaters for two weeks. Unfortunately, we don't know if the movies will contain any new footage yet.
