New information and teaser video for Seven Deadly Sins new season
The Seven Deadly Sins new season is a fact and the staff of the series has finally revealed new information. During the "Nanatsu no Taizai FES" event held today in Tokyo, the premiere, the title and the cast of the series were announced, while the first teaser video has aired. The new anime series will be titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of the Commandments and will premiere in January 2018.

The anime will be directed by Takeshi Furuta with Tomoya Tanaka as the assistant director at A-1 Pictures. Takao Yoshioka will return to the series composition, while Kento Toya and Keigo Sasaki are responsible for the character design. The composition of the music will be held by Hiroyuki Sawano and Takafumi Wada.

Nakaba Suzuki launched the manga in Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012. The first 24-episode television series was released in 2014 and completed in 2015. In August 2016, a special four-episode television anime titled The Seven Deadly Sins - Signs of Holy War- premiered. Several spinoff manga, novels, OVAs and games have been based on its story, the latest of which is titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Knights of Britannia (Nanatsu no Taizai: Britannia no Tabibito) and is getting a release in the West in early 2018 by Bandai Namco Entertainment.
