The official website of Kuroko's Basketball Extra Game refreshed the material, revealing that the adaptation of the homonymous manga will open in spring 2017. In addition, new visuals were revealed featuring Kuroko, Akashi, Midorima and Murasakibara wearing the Vorpal Swords uniforms.

The film will be in fact a sequel of the TV anime series. The plot features a showdown between two teams: one team consisting of the five members of the Generation of Miracles plus Kuroko and Kagami, and a team from America. 

Moreover, the official website of the Kuroko's Basketball film trilogy revealed that the band OLDCODEX will perform the opening for all three films, while the new song entitled "The Experience". Along with the announcement, three new visuals were released, painted by YORKE, member of OLDCODEX.
