On Monday June 26, One Piece's official website revealed a visual and five screenshots that will take place on the special episode named “Episode of East Blue: Luffy to 4-nin no Nakama no Daibōken (Luffy and His 4 Crewmates' Big Adventure)".

The episode will last two hours and will celebrate the manga's 20th anniversary. All the scenes will be reanimated. It will include the vow that Luffy and Shanks gave ten years ago, as well as how he met Zoro, Usopp, Sanji and Nami and how they became the first members of the StrawHat pirates' crew.
The website puts the question: "When the five members met, what were Chopper, Robin, Franky and Brook doing?" and points out that at the ending there will be some scenes from the manga with the credits.
Otsuka Takashi is directing the episode and Nakayama Tomohiro is writing the script. Responsible for the character design is Masayuki Sato. The episode will be produced by Toei Animation and will air on Saturday August 26 at 21:00 Japan's hour on channel Fuji TV.
Last, but not less important, is the announcement that in that episode a new version of the anime's first opening "We Are" will be heard, in which 100 people will be participating. All of them were chosen through lottery by Hiroshi Kitadani, singer of "We Are", "We Go" και "We Can".
