Only two months have passed since the resumption of Hunter x Hunter, after the two-year pause, and Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced that the manga will go to a new hiatus. The hiatus is indefinite and the magazine will announce the date of the return when decided.

Yoshihiro Togashi restarted the manga in April after a two-year hiatus since August 2014. It was originally a two-week pause because of the author's health problem, but it was extended until April 2016.
