The official website of Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online anime published a new promotional video for the series, revealing the main staff members. The anime is based on Keiichi Sigsawa's novel and will premiere in April.

The television commercial: 

The anime is directed by Masayuki Sakoi (Celestial Method, Princess Resurrection, Strawberry Panic!) at Studio 3Hz (Flip Flappers, Princess Principal). Yousuke Furoda (My Hero Academia, Gundam Build Fighters, Mobile Suit Gundam 00) is in charge of the series composition and the script, while Yoshio Kosakai (Chaos; HEAd, Needless) is chief animation director, and he is also designing the characters based on Kouhaku Kuroboshi's original designs. 

Sigsawa launched the novel series with Kouhaku Kuroboshi's illustrations in 2014. In 2015, the novel got a manga adaptation by Tadadi Tamori.
