According to the 39th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, the anime film adaptation of Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game manga will be entitled Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game (Kuroko's Basketball The Movie: Last Game). In addition, the official website of the film uploaded a new visual, which shows the five members of the Generation of Miracles plus Kuroko and Kagami, wearing Vorpal Swords uniforms. The slogan that accompanies the visual states: "The formation of the strongest dream team ever!". 

The head supervisor of the film is Fuijimaki, who writes an "original episode" for the film. Shunsuke Tada is directing the film, as happened in the previous anime series, while Noboru Takagi returns for the series composition. In the design of the characters and the music composition we meet Yoko Kikuchi and Yoshihiro Ike respectively. Finally, the cast of the TV series will return for roles of the film, while the production remains in Production I.G.

The film will open in spring 2017.
