Orange gets new anime sequel film

A new anime film has gotten the green light for Orange, as announced in the 13th and final episode of the series. The title of the film will be Orange: Mirai (Orange: Future) and it will premiere on November 18 in Japan. The film will play for a limited two-week engagement and it will be a sequel to the original manga, but also the TV anime, since the story has not been revealed anywhere so far. In fact, it tells again the story from Suwa’ s perspective.

Naomi Nakayama will serve as chief director, while the staff and the cast will return to their original roles. Moreover, the band Kobukuro will perform the new theme song titled "Mirai".

Apart from the film, Ichigo Takano’s Orange manga will get a a spinoff manga, which will consist of two parts. The announcement came from the November issue of Futabasha’ s Monthly Action magazine, while the new manga will be entitled Orange -Suwa Hiroto-.
