Naruto Shippūden: Itachi Shinden-hen premieres next March
Just a few days ago, news were released that made a lot of Naruto Shippūden’s fans happy, as a new anime series was announced in 2016 based on Uchiha Itachi. The combined 5th/6th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that the anime will premiere specifically in March 2016 with the title Naruto Shippūden: Itachi Shinden-hen ~Hikari to Yami~ (Naruto Shippūden: The True Legend of Itachi Volume ~Light and Darkness~).
The anime is based on Takashi Yano’s novel Itachi Shinden, which was released by Shueisha in two parts. The first part is called Itachi Shinden: Kōmyō-hen (The True Legend of Itachi: Glory Volume) and the second Itachi Shinden: Anya-hen (The True Legend of Itachi: Dark Night Volume). They were shipped on September 2 and on October 2 accordingly.
