Nanatsu No Taizai comes back in August.
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Nakaba Suzuki's The Seven Deadly Sins manga revealed that a new anime series will start airing in August and will continue for four weeks. For this special, Suzuki is writing a brand new story. Its title will be Nanatsu no Taizai: Seisen no Shirushi / The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of holy war. In order to promote it, the staff revealed a key visual and Aniplex is streaming an announcement commercial.
The four-week special will air on MBS and TBS on Sundays at 5:00 p.m. The first season of the anime is also being rebroadcast on Tokyo MX starting on April 6th.
In October 2015, an announcement about a new television anime series was made by the anime’s staff. However, that announcement had stated that the staff would remain the same, while Sunday’s announcement lists a different staff.
Tomokazu Tokoro (Hellsing Ultimate, Haibane Renmei) will be directing the anime at A1 Pictures. The scriptwriters will be Yuniko Ayana (Girls Beyond the Wasteland, Hello!! KINMOZA) and Yuichiro Kido (Gatchaman Crowds insight). The character designer is Keigo Sasaki. Tomoko Sudo (animation director for Oreshura, Silver Spoon) is the chief animation director, and Hiroyuki Sawano and Takafumi Wada are composing the music.

The first television anime of the manga premiered in Japan last October, and ended with 24 episodes. The manga also bundled two original video anime projects last summer.
