Movie teaser and premiere of Kuroshitsuji: Book of the Atlantic
The new Kuroshitsuji film entitled Kuroshitsuji: Book of the Atlantic (Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic) will premiere on January 21, 2017, according to the first promotional video that was released by Aniplex on Monday. The film will be based on "Gōka Kyakusen" (luxury liner) arc of Yana Toboso’s manga, while the story is set on the luxury liner Campania and centers around secrets to resurrecting the dead.

At the same time, the official website of the movie published a new visual by Minako Shiba, character designer and chief animation director.

The production is the same one that produced the Book of Circus and the Book of Murder. Specifically, Noriyuki Abe is directing the anime at A-1 Pictures, Hiroyuki Yoshino writes the script, while Yosunori Mitsuda is composing the music. As for the actors, they will all return to their original roles.

To manga debuted in September 2006 and is released on a monthly basis in Square Enix’s shounen manga Monthly GFantasy magazine. In October 2008, the first 24-episodes anime series was released and a second 18-episodes season followed in 2010 with two new characters. The second season does not follow the manga. The third series aired in July 2014 entitled Kuroshitsuji: Book of Circus and shortly later, two OVA were released entitled Kuroshitsuji: Book of Murder. Furthermore, in January 2014, a live-action film premiered starring Hiro Mizushima. Apart from the film, the manga has also inspired several musical performances.
