The second film Digimon Adventure tri. Ketsui (Determination) surpassed the day-one box office of the first film Digimon Adventure tri. Saikai (Reunion). Specifically, on March 12 it sold 17.543 tickets for 30 million Yen (approximately 236,000 Euro), ranking first in the Japanese box office limited-run films. In its first weekend, the ticket sales rose to 27.506, earning more than 46 million Yen (approximately 362,000 Euro).

Digimon Adventure tri. Ketsui (Determination) will run for 3 weeks, while the third film titled Digimon Adventure tri. Kokuhaku (Confession) will open in Japanese theaters on September 24. The project will consist of six films in total.
