Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club gets new TV series


After Free! -Take Your Marks- film, which is still screening in Japan, Free! anime is getting a new TV series. The news were announced on the official website of the franchise, while the series is expected to be released next summer.

The “episode 0” of the new anime will have event screenings, while the DVDs and Blu-ray Discs of Free! -Timeless Medley- Kizuna and Free! -Timeless Medley-Yakusoku will contain priority ticket application forms for these events. The official website will reveal more details about the screenings at a later date.

The first Free! anime series premiered in July 2013. The second season titled Free! Eternal Summer followed in July 2014, while the High Speed! -Free! Starting Days- film premiered in December 2015. The first compilation film titled Free! -Timeless Medley-Kizuna was released on April 22, 2017 and the second one, Free! -Timeless Medley-Yakusoku, followed on July 1. The Free! -Take Your Marks- film, which is a sequel of the series, premiered in Japan last Saturday.
